Best Way To Start Learning English

Image
I have been an English teacher over a decade now. During that time the most common question I get asked is how can I learn or improve my English. I already covered how to improve your English in an earlier article you can find here . As I mentioned in the previous article a new learner has different needs than someone who is trying to improve their English. That does not mean that this article won't be helpful though. This method is a great technique to improve your vocabulary. There are a number of programs that you can use on the Internet, download to a computer, or download to a phone. These programs are free and effective. They are based on scientific research about how you learn. They are based on what is known as spaced repetition training. I have used these programs for English students as well as other students. I have seen great success. I had a number of studies in Vietnam who were young and knew very little English and their parents were amazed at how quickly

Toughest Part of IELTS

Every student is different but over a decade of teaching students I have found that most students have 1 area they need work on. The 1 section of the IELTS exam students do the worst is the speaking section. Knowing what the hardest part of the test is important. By knowing what will likely be the area you need the most work you can focus your time your troubled areas. This allows you to more effectively use your study time. Each student is different but I often tell students to spend most of their study time working on this 1 area. There are a number of ways that you can study for IELTS. If you are getting a tutor I suggest you focus on the speaking parts with them. The reason for this is that if you have a native teacher this is where they will be the greatest use. Other things you can study on your own or with others. If you do not have a native teachers an experienced local teacher it is still going to be better to study this as well since it will be the best you can get.

Best Way To Improve Your English

As a teacher with over a decade of experience the question I get the most often is what is the best way to improve my English? I always give the same answer. The best thing of all is to get real practice speaking the language. Have a conversation in English. This does not work well if you do not know enough English obviously. If you are reading this or those asking me in real life they know enough English to either read this or to ask me the question in English. Not all practice is created equal though. The best practice of all is to speak with native speakers. Speakers that have training and experience are best. Many students do not have easy access to teachers though. Fortunately it is easier to find them now online. In fact you can even contact me and I can offer private tutoring or classes. I will even add information later about good places to work with teachers. While it is possible to speak with native speakers you might not be able to afford one. Or perhaps the time

In English we have what we call the 5 w's of journalism. I actually was a journalist for a local paper for a time so I am very familiar with these 5 w's. These 5 w's are going to be important to know if you do well on your IELTS and go to college. They are also going to be important to know to help you get a good score on your IELS exam so you can get into that college. The 5 w's are 5 questions you should answer. In journalism it is 5 questions to answer in an article. The 5 w's are Who, What, When, When, Why, with how occasionally being used and theb being called the 6 w's. These can be used in your writing and speaking section. Writing is the more obvious time you will want to use these since these are for writing. They are a great tool though for improving your speaking too. They give you things you can think of to say about your question. If you get the question what is your favorite book you would say what the name is, who wrote it (or who gave
